Geography

Ormoc City is a port city and the largest city in land area and second largest in Leyte in Eastern Visayas after Calbayog City in Samar. Fronting Ormoc Bay, the mainland city is mostly gentle rolling plains. It is bounded on the northwest by the city Matag-ob and Merida, in the north by Kananga, in the northeast of the town of Jaro, Pastrana and Dagami, and on the south by the city Albuera.

Ormoc high mountain apart from the eastern part of Leyte. Numerous rivers cross the river and Ormoc. Among them is the Bao River in the north, west Pagsangahan River, River to the south Bagong-bong, also Panilahan River in the south and Anilao and Malbasag River which borders the east and west sides of Ormoc City Proper.
